I returned an item I ordered online but returned in a store. The store credited a discover card. I do not have or ever had a discover card.

I have same problem when I show at Lowe's I get charged to correct card and receipt from PayPal is correct but the receipt from Lowe's shows Discover card as payment, Lowe's said nothing they can do and it's PayPal. When to talk to PP they says it's not them. Contacted Discover and they verified I do not have a card.

Also when I get refund Lowe's says it's going back on my Discover and I do get the refund on the correct card so everything works like it is suppose to except the Discover card name and last 4 numbers showing up on my Lowe's receipt.

Hello @mikeofmc and everyone,

Welcome to the PayPal Community Forum! I can certainly understand how there could be some confusion seeing Discover at the bottom of your receipt when you've used PayPal as the funding source in-store. The reason you see this is because PayPal uses the Discover network for certain merchant's in-store payment solutions. So while the charge will still be charged to the proper card you've setup for in-store checkout, as well as any refunds if necessary, you may still see it reflect as "Discover-XXXX" at the bottom of your PayPal receipt. This doesn't mean you have a card or account with Discover.

I hope that clears things up!

I made an online purchase to KOHLS for $93.45. I returned some of the items.  KOHLS sent my refund to a DISCOVER CARD NETWORK.  I've reached out to KOHLS customer service several times, but nothing is being done about this. I just noticed, even though I paid via PayPal, my KOHLS online receipt reflects the payment method was DISCOVER CARD NETWORK. I do not own a Discover Card.  What is the link between PayPal and the Discover Network?

At this point I just want my refund of $51.80.

Based on the number of similar online complaints, it appears this is a reoccurring problem between Kohls and PayPal.  I am not getting any help from KOHLS. Any advice would be appreciated.
