I made a purchase using PayPal! I didn’t go outside of there policy!! I did everything correct! I Purchased A 24MM 24”s 925 silver and moissanite and matching bracelet 24MM and 10”s ! I asked the seller to leave a note on the two invoices that were sent..They did just that.. the sellers sent me Brass and plated items and maybe cz stones which won’t pass the Diamond tested!! And they admitted that they sent plated items and of course they can’t change the note that was left on the two invoices! PayPal sided with them and told me I couldn’t provided the evidence proving the claim, once I opens up a dispute. I open the dispute on Sep 10th the day I received the items and 30min to a hour they sided with the seller!! Stole $600+ from me .. I’m seeking for justice. The rep hang up the phone in your phone . I don’t disrespect anyone at all just explain my situation!! It’s like they are for the wrong and clearly go against there policies!! Seeking justice!!

Firstly paypal covers you for items ''significantly'' other than as described so as you paid for a bracelet and received a bracelet then you may not be covered as they do not get involved in ''quality'' of an item generally (unless you have uploaded proof).

Sounds as if you purchased from an individual and not a website or merchant so that is always buyer beware.

Secondly Paypal does not close disputes until 20 days post opening them. The dispute stage is for you to try and resolve things with the seller and Paypal only get involved when you escalate to a claim.

So during the dispute stage before you escalated the dispute did you upload or provide any proof from a third party jeweller etc that the items were significantly not as described? Only if not then it's just your word against the sellers.

Options are getting proof and appealing?

Small claims court if you have that option in your country and the seller is in the same country?

Lastly if you funded your paypal payment via a credit card you could try a chargeback by contacting your card issuer, although none of those options guarantee a refund but worth trying.

Thanks a lot …. And they didn’t give me 20 days they gave me 2 days and they I provided the information and screenshots … every rep I spoke with said they’ll issue me a full refund and they have a habit of saying this to get you off the phone and not issue you a refund seems like… your correct about a few things …. I recently was a victim to identity theft.. so I don’t use a major credit card… and yes they post jewelry online and claimed to be a jewelry store without a website… and I have screenshots of them trying to offer me counterfeit goods of major brands which I don’t support that’s more of the red flags that was raised and I clearly told them in a text that’s not what I paid for nor support and the items they sent but I understand…. And I have screenshots of it all and they are from China the seller… but lesson learned…

Paypal only close disputes automatically at 20 days.

So which dispute type did you open?

How did you pay for the item ie goods/services or friends/family?
