Service refusing to cancel my subscription

A service I subscribed to is essentially refusing to allow me to cancel my subscription. I try to cancel on their website and I get a non-sensical error and they don't respond to my e-mails. I used paypal for the payment. If I go to their billing details in the autopay section and choose "Remove Paypal as a payment option" would that effectively cancel my subscription with them?

Click on the profile / settings tab (icon next to log out) > Click on payments third option along on the thick blue band top of page > "manage pre-approved payments.''
