They took my only 200 I had!!! I had to ask a friend to send me my last $210 from my bank account to my PayPal account because they don't allow you to send money to yourself, and I have a restricted debit card that doesn't allow online purchases due to my paranoia after having identity theft last year and losing everything, very got evicted, lost my car etc. They took their fee and put my funds on HOLD! For up to 21 DAYS!!! This whole transaction was to buy Christmas presents for my kids!! I'm terminal and on disability which barely covers rent. I can't leave my house very often. This may be our last Christmas and now I can't buy them anything!! And ideas please help!!

Then its a shame your friend didn't use the correct option of friends/family when they sent the funds and not goods/services.

If they used goods/services then paypal would see you as a seller and apply the new seller hold as per link.

If they had used friends/family you would have had the funds instantly.

If you mark the transaction as processed then sender may have the option on their account to mark the transaction as delivery/satisfied. If they confirm this by clicking on the "Confirm Receipt" button, funds may be released sooner ie 7 days after the sender verifies receipt. This is not always available or guaranteed.
If not then sadly its 21 days.
