Unclear fee / not transparent - Help?

Hi

Person in the USA sends me $928

Paypal displays I will get $890 (worth in £)

I, in the UK receive $845 (worth in £)

Paypal charges $83 for this transaction

equivalent to 9%

Since the fees are never broken down, does someone know what the breakdown is?
