User beware: Paypal user experience does not warn you about Cash Equivalent Fees

Paypal apparently codes some transactions as cash advances. However I can see no warning to the user that the transaction will be coded as such and that as a result you will be charged more by your bank. I recently paid for a something I purchased online for $100. I sent that $100 to the seller just as I normally would with my credit card, thinking that Paypal would charge the seller as usual for the transaction cost. Instead, Paypal coded it as a cash advance and my bank charged me an additional $10.
I contacted Paypal support and they were basically really curt, offered no help and basically said they do not see the $10 fee on their end.
Is there something I am missing in the fine print? This experience has really soured me on Paypal and Paypal has now dropped to my least preferred payment method.

We can keep doing this and raise the visibility of this thread. I guess you do have some value after all, despite your lack of content. 🙂 Thanks!

You have not answered anything.
Paypal has a CYA in this FAQ: https://www.paypal.com/us/cshelp/article/HELP557
I found that myself by searching around, not because Paypal surfaced it. Neither did you link to it.
This is a problem for users - as a user, I should not have to go digging in the Paypal FAQs and terms when making a transaction to see that my Paypal initiated transaction is likely to incur more fees within or outside of Paypal because of how Paypal has coded it. This is the central issue that Paypal needs to address.
Can we find some common ground on the statement above? Or will you persist in ignoring it and coming across as a shill for Paypal?
You have been of zero help and frankly it is rude and unhelpful people like you that make online forums unpleasant. Consider that you are doing more harm to Paypal's brand by acting the way you have in this thread.

Tip: If you make a cash advance purchase with a credit or debit card, the card provider may charge a cash advance fee. PayPal has no control over third-party fees.
Which is exactly what I said.....
Your bank charged you, Paypal are not responsible for what banks or card issuers charge you. If its not on the Paypal site as a fee then they haven't charged you anything.
and
FEES are clearly listed on the paypal site.
Its up to you to know what your bank or card issuer will charge you.
So as I said, you're welcome.
