What may be causing Paypal failing to process my payments

i was supposed to get some payments from appen but they sent me the following email ."Dear Mtendere [Removed] Appen recently tried to send a payment to your PayPal account. Unfortunately, your payment was returned because PayPal cannot process your funds. The payment has been returned to Appen ." what might be the problem and what could be the solution to this
