Wrong type of account on processed

I have a big problem now with PayPal. I did 2 large purchase.. 2 transactions one from a merchant and the other was an invoice to pay for a service. It went through my bank account instead of my credit card..... Now I have no funds to pay my bills !!! I tried transferring on PayPal from my credit card to my bank account .... It says I can't send money to myself. It's a HUGE problem to use PayPal if it does that! I tried going on my credit card website to transfer to my account it won't let me do that. Since my problem started with PayPal..How can I fix it ! Thank you so much

You can't add funds from a credit card to a paypal balance, only from a linked bank account or debit card.

Secondly it shows you on checkout where the paypal funds are going to be deducted from before you hit the pay button, if it showed card then you could click on 'change' and select bank account instead.

 

Do you have your payment preferences set as per here.......


Click on the profile tab (icon next to log out) > Click on payments third option along on the thick blue band top of page > second down click on update next to your preferred way to pay and put a dot in one of the options listed.

Even if you do every payment goes through a security check and paypal may randomly change a funding source so if you disagree with that funding source being used to just don't click the pay button and select another option.
