Your Billing Agreement with Meta Platforms Technologies, LLC has been cancelled

I received an email with the title above. It seems to be a legit email from Paypal but I don't know what they want me to do.

It says "Manage your Billing Agreement by logging into your PayPal account and clicking the Billing Agreement link under your Profile. In your Profile, you can choose and edit your preferred funding source and cancel your Billing Agreement".

There is no such link that I can find.

Anybody know what this email means?

Thank you.

I contacted Paypal on Facebook and they were basically useless but they gave me a link

I went there and looked in Automatic Payments and I see where they cancelled my old agreement and started a new one under the same name, so I have an Inactive one and an Active one. Seems like I don't have to take any action.

Thanks. It's a relief just knowing that other people got the same email. I may have had it set up such that if I bought an app in the Oculus Quest store, the payment went through Paypal. That's the only thing I can think of involving "Meta" and Paypal. No idea why they would have cancelled it though.

I received a similar email this morning telling me basically the same thing except to go to profile click my money and manage payments. Well I don’t have a Facebook account and there is no my money to click on . I’m kinda confused because it does appear to have been sent from paypal

My Meta store purchases (for Quest2 apps) still continue to work through Paypal, so whatever it was they were doing had no impact on me using their services. Their email only caused confusion but perhaps it was legally necessary. It would be nice if they could make it more clear what they were doing and that no action was necessary on my part rather than specifically stating that action WAS necessary.

Whatever it was seems not to have affected anything.

Not sure if this has been resolved but the message from paypal is usually associated with account closures ie Facebook account, Instagram account etc. Basically any account owned by the meta group. The meta group which is an umbrella company for multiple social media ccounts controls paypal payments on those sites. This doesn't necessarily correspond to the account holders having a paypal account. It just refers to paypal being used on those sites as payment options. The email appears to be legit as the address pings up with verified paypal email correspondences. Maybe a meta account has been recently deleted? Hope this sheds some light on the issue.
