amount debited from bank account as pre authorization before even completing the order

Does anyone know what happens if your bank account is debited for "pre authorisation" from paypal and you don't complete your order on the merchant's website. It has been 2 days and didn't get my 52 dollars back. There is no record for this in the paypal app except a notification

Talk to your bank and tell them to release the funds as they won't be needed for that order?
