I had been trying to link my bank accounts for months, but I got various error messages. I tried help pages, and I even talked to a live support person through chat. The support representative did not know what the forums told me, that my account had some security lock. Instead, the rep said that they were unable to connect my account through chat since they weren't allowed to collect bank account information. That wasn't exactly helpful since I wanted an explanation of error messages!
In the forums, I learned that I have to reach a live person by phone to unlock whatever security limit is on my account. Many people also have the problem, according to the forum post. Sheesh, why didn't the errors tell me that? Why didn't the help page tell me? While I'm asking questions, why are all of the error messages different?

Hi I AM SO FRUSTRATED>....
I tried to phone PAYPAL now and still no response.
I have tried for several months to link all my bank accounts and none of them are accepted. I WISH I DID NOT NEED TO USE PAYPAL. I am launching soon and need to sort it out.
My cousin has to receive a internal transfer from me and then send me funds into my Wise account, but this costs me everytime !
PAYPAL are going down the drain I heard

Does the name on your bank account exactly match the name on your paypal account?
If it a local bank account for your country and not a virtual / digital bank?
Have you linked/removed that bank account to 'any' paypal account 3 times beforehand.

I am also struggling. I originally had my Wise and Revolut accounts linked to my PP account. Now not at all after they expired. I have been trying to resolve this for 6 months now. So I have to send to my cousin who then send to my Wise account but it costs me twice over.

Paypal does not support Wise / Payoneer (or any other virtual banks).
Whilst you can sometimes add an account it wouldn't work properly and Paypal advise you against trying.
If you do succeed then Paypal wouldn't be responsible for any missing funds to or from that virtual / digital bank account.
