Honduran PayPal account can still only add US based banks?

I saw a post from 2018 that stated Honduran PayPal accounts can only link banks that are based in the US (link below).  Is this still the case?  My friend in Honduras has a PayPal account and whenever she tries to link her bank, it says that bank is associated with another account.  It doesn't say that bank isn't allowed.  But I am wondering if that is just a semantics thing/incorrect error prompt.

If Honduran PayPal accounts CAN allow local Honduran banks to be added, then is there a way to find out what PayPal account has her bank account linked?  Thanks

Hello @Doc_Cheese

Welcome to the PayPal Community! This is a great question, I can certainly understand the need to add a local bank on PayPal. After a bit of research, I was able to confirm you're still unable to use local banks in Honduras, however you can still add US banks.

Apologies for any inconvenience that may present,
