Hello @obviwerd, Welcome to the community forum and thanks for posting.
Your balance will always show in your account. When you open an account it will show a balance of zero. If you receive money it will then show in your balance or you can transfer funds from your bank to your PayPal account.
You don't need to have money in your PayPal account balance to buy something or send money. To pay for a purchase or send money to a friend, we can simply debit the money from your bank account or card when you initiate the transaction.
However, if you've linked your bank account to your PayPal account, you can also move money from your bank account to your PayPal account for free.

- Go to Wallet.
- Click Transfer Money.
- Click Add money to your balance.
- Follow the on-screen steps to transfer money from your bank account to your PayPal balance.
