How to sell Bitcoins with Paypal?

I'm typing this for the second time and am losing my patience.  If an admin reads this, please fix your forum.  I typed first, then realised I hadn't selected a category.  Doing so wiped what I'd typed!!!!

Ok, make that a third time, since now your system thinks I'm spamming, since I dared to try to send twice in a row.  Now I have to wait an hour.  Wow, schoolboy errors in the programming.

I'm trying to use Paypal to sell Bitcoins, but I see no way of transferring the Bitcoins in in the first place.  How can I use this service?

I understand you're looking to sell your crypto currency. Crypto currency is a digital currency you can buy, sell, and securely hold in your PayPal account. Here's how to sell Cryptocurrency with the PayPal app:

Tap Your Crypto on the Home screen of the PayPal app.
From the Crypto Landing screen, select one of the existing Crypto holdings.
Tap Sell.
Confirm Tax Information (needed for first-time sale).
Enter the Sell Amount and Tap Next.
Tap Sell Now.

Firstly I don't use the app, I use the webpage on my desktop.  I never mentioned an app, so I don't know why you made that assumption.

Secondly you're telling me how to sell coins.  But I don't have coins in Paypal yet.  How do I transfer them in there so I can then sell them?  I need a bitcoin address to send to from my bitcoin wallet.

Hello @hucker4, sorry for any confusion there. 

After a bit of research, I've found PayPal user's in the US can transfer cryptocurrencies between eligible PayPal and other wallets and exchanges, but PayPal user's in the UK can only Buy and Sell through their PayPal account at this time. Unfortunately, it looks like you wouldn't be able to transfer the crypto you currently have outside of PayPal into a PayPal Crypto wallet.

So I guess it's just for investing at this point.  I guess that helps people get around the stupid daily limit Nationwide bank has imposed on buying Bitcoin!  Transfer to Paypal first, then buy it!

I'm assuming you've hit hurdles with government regulations [rolls eyes].  Oh well, you're half way there.

I wonder if UK people can open a US Paypal account....

PayPal asks that our customers only open accounts in the country they currently reside. Opening and operating an account in a country which you do not currently reside may result in a limitation on that account and the other account(s) you operate. Also, opening an account and using Crypto will normally prompt you to confirm your identity and tax info through government-issued identification.
