Hi,

I've successfully linked my PayPal account via FNB bank. Whenever I try to process a withdrawal it gives me this error : There is no funding source added to your PayPal account. Please add a card to continue.

Has anyone else experienced this before?

Did you follow the steps in the South Africa section of this page?

https://www.paypal.com/za/smarthelp/article/how-do-i-transfer-money-to-my-bank-account-faq1189

Specifically, to link your PayPal with FNB account:

  1. Log in to your FNB Online Banking profile at www.fnb.co.za.
  2. Click Forex, then click PayPal Services.
  3. Select the menu option on the left, then select Link PayPal Profile.
  4. Complete the instructions to link your accounts. You’ll need to login to your PayPal account to confirm that you are the account holder
After linking your PayPal account to your bank account, here’s how to withdraw money:
  1. Log in to your FNB Online Banking profile at www.fnb.co.za.
  2. Click Forex, then click PayPal Services.
  3. Select the menu option on the left, then select Withdraw from PayPal.
  4. Enter the withdrawal amount in US Dollars (make sure you have enough money in your PayPal balance to make this withdrawal).
  5. Follow the instructions to confirm the exchange rate, the Rand amount you will receive, and the transaction terms and conditions.

You’ll be taken back to the PayPal website to log in and review the amount you are withdrawing to your FNB or other South African bank account. After completing this, you’ll then be sent back to the FNB website. You'll receive your money in your FNB bank account within 3 to 5 business days.

Kudos & Solved are greatly appreciated. 🙂

This means your actual bank account is not yet linked to your PayPal. Have you gone into an FNB store to link your bank account? Perhaps you can phone FNB's PayPal department to get it done. But when they are linked, you will be able to see your bank account(s) come up as an option when you try and make the withdrawal/transfer to your bank account. This withdrawal action can only be made from a computer.
