Why is my balance showing 0 when I just received a payment?

I just received $8.44 for a service rendered this month, but now my account is showing a balance of 0... why is that? What happened to the funds? I make all Paypal payments with my credit cards, so I should have a credit of $8.44 in my account.

Thanks for your help.

options...

1. Was it auto transferred to your linked bank account?

2. Check recent transactions and see if it was used to pay for them instead of your card.

3. Were the funds sent in a currency you have added on your paypal account that you can receive.

Thanks for your response.

I have checked all my accounts and the credit is not indicated as having been applied there. I received the $8.44 credit which originally showed up as my PP balance, but soon afterward, it just disappeared. It is listed in my activity report as having been received, but my overall PP balance is 0. I expect to receive more payments in the future, and I want to keep the funds in place as my balance.

Hello @vkooyker and @kernowlass

Welcome back to the Community and thanks for the posts!

I'm sorry to hear your payment isn't showing, @vkooyker. @kernowlass has some wonderful tips. If your payment still isn't showing, I have a few more ideas to help you search for it. If this is your first payment, I recommend making sure your email address and phone number are confirmed. If the payment was sent to an unconfirmed email address or phone number, it would not link to your account. Next, I recommend downloading a transaction statement that includes all recent transactions. This will help you determine if you withdrew the payment, applied it towards another purchase, or if it was placed on hold. I also advise you to check your Resolution Center for any recent disputes. If a dispute was opened, that could place the transaction on hold until it's resolved.

If you still can't find it, I recommend contacting Customer Support for additional assistance. You can contact Support by clicking 'Contact' at the bottom of any PayPal page. Support is also available if you send a DM to @AskPayPal on Twitter or a PM to facebook.com/PayPal.

I hope this is sorted out soon!
