Adding money from Bank to my PayPal Account

If I already set a transfer to add money from my bank account to my PayPal account and its pending, Can I do more transfers in regards to adding money?

I just recently set up my PayPal and I did a test transfer of one dollar. It takes 3-5 business days and so I tried to do another one and an error saying theres an issue and that was it. I tried my other bank but same thing. I am wondering if it is because the initial transfer didn't come through yet but I don't know

Why do you need to transfer funds to your balance?

You never need funds in your Paypal account balance as a buyer. When you purchase an item then Paypal credit the seller for you, this is so there is no delay in the despatch of your item. Paypal will then take the wait for the funds to automatically transfer to reimburse them from your linked funding source.

I'm really using it for sports betting. So if I just go ahead and added funds from my PayPal with 0 dollars, PayPal will just auto take from my bank account? Also the reason is because I don't know how it works so I'm just figuring it out for the first time
