Can I add funds to my paypal balance from a credit card?

I want to be able to add to my paypal balance with my credit card over a few months to build up funds for some upcoming payments. I can't figure out how. I contacted support. They instructed me to supply forms of ID (even though I've been using paypal for about 20 years). So far I still can't add funds to my account. I can't find any information about this anywhere, and I don't think the person on the support call understood my question.

You can't load a paypal balance via a credit card as that would be a cash advance payment.

You can add funds via a bank account as per link.

Thank you. It would be nice if that was stated somewhere obvious.

Also, it's kind of odd when you think about it. I could create another Paypal account, and pay money with my credit card and off we go.  Not sure I understand the difference between paying someone else and paying into my account. If there are fees, then fine, paypal isn't shy about charging fees.

Well you could create a paypal account but it would have to be a business account.

You are only allowed x2 paypal accounts as long as x1 is business and x1 is a personal account.
