Can't send crypto

s it even possible to send crypto to an external wallet, I only get a very general error from paypal even thou i have bitcoin, have a valid bitcoin address to send to, have verified my personal info. Only get some general error message like "cannot do this transaction at this time" what a joke! I;m very experienced and am doing this all correctly and its obvious its a problem within paypal. So all said and done i got ripped off for fees having to sell my bitcoin back to cash and just use my current exchange. Utterly zero help from paypal and zero knowledge from customer service, that means zero chance that you have my business going forward. Thanx for no help with your services

Still going on in 2024. This issue just cost me over $300. I was getting ready to hit one of the rewards on the Riversweep game I play where they have this promotion going on right now where you get rewards for so much deposit in a time frame and was literally about to hit the 300$ dollar reward after I cashed out all I had to do make another deposit but I’ve been getting this error now all day long😕so frustrating when customer service explains how bitcoin transfers work like we haven’t been using it for years already…

After reading comments on here about issues with transferring crypto to other wallets, I've realized that my recent deposit for crypto is not going to work for what I intended to use it for. Constantly get an error message and now I cant even sell it back to myself as it's a constant error as well..this whole thing is a joke

Don't bother they will let you transfer it when they've collected enough fees from you. It's fraud they block our ability to send so now we have to sell it right back for double fees. They are banking on these fees , double everytime buying than selling once you can't send.

Hello @CM2222 and @Temp20240116Z

Thanks for posting in the PayPal Community!

I'm sorry to hear you're both unable to transfer your cryptocurrency. There are a couple of possible reasons why outlined in this Help Center article. When going to make a transfer, I recommend logging in from one consistent device and ensuring your location services are turned on. If you receive a denial, allow 48 hours before your next attempt. When you go to make that attempt, clear your cache and cookies on your preferred browser. If you can't make the transfer after one attempt, reach out to Customer Support at that time to see if any options are available to help the transfer go through.

I hope you can both complete the transfer soon!

- Meghan

This is a ridiculous response to "wait 48 hours". PayPal is terrible for Crypto...stay away everyone.

It's not so much that I'm getting a denial.   The page first went completely white and stuck at the customer authentication.  When reloading trying to transfer Liitecoin to another valid address I get the following message:  "There's a problem
Right now, we're not able to complete this transaction."

All the while the coin that I have is volatile.  I want to transfer it to another wallet, why is this a problem?????

Did you get this resolved? I am having the issue now too. “ We can't transfer your crypto just yet This may happen as an added layer of security to protect your account. Trying again later may help fix the problem.”

I'm not trying to sell, I just want to transfer, from one wallet to another. I don't really see that option although the help center say it is there. Is there a reason for that? If not it gives legitimacy to what

Temp20240116Z is saying and I hope not.

Wouldn’t recommend buying crypto on PayPal or Venmo it’ll allow you to send once or twice then it will lock you from transferring it out anywhere on purpose, forcing you to sell it back and paying double the fees. Pretty scummy if you ask me
