Hi all.
I made the mistake of signing up to MySavingsDirect some years ago. I needed to withdraw my funds but it would not verify with any my accounts (Paypal, Chime.) so I got frustrated and closed my account. This was back in 2021. Paypal and Chime would not accept the check from this closed out account.
I gave up on trying to cash it and lost the original check and gave up on trying to get a fresh check as it had aged out and it felt like they were giving me a run-around at getting a fresh check. A few months ago, they sent me notification that the amount would be handed over to the comptroller in October, and if I needed a fresh check to contact them. They gave me the same runaround in bite sized chunks.
Fresh check in hand, I tried to deposit to my Paypal account. Everything seemed to be going fine, but then I get a message saying something along the lines of "We cannot accept your check. Do not attempt to deposit it again. You can still deposit or cash it elsewhere." I do not have a local bank that I can deposit or cash it at.
Can someone explain to me why I cannot get this stupid check deposited?
