Declined by Google play

I have a positive balance in my PayPal wallet, yet Google play has been declining my purchase requests constantly. I don't understand because it was working a week ago and now it tells me that there is an error with my PayPal account and I should contact customer service or just try a different payment method altogether. Anyone know how to fix this)

Hello @Jasmine104, Welcome to the community forum and thanks for posting.

A payment may be declined for several reasons. If your payment was declined, you may need to:

• Confirm the email address associated with PayPal.
• Update the expiration date or billing address associated with your credit or debit card.
• Confirm your credit or debit card so we know you’re the card owner.
• Go through a security check so we can confirm your identity.
• Resolve a limitation placed on your account.

If none of the above applies or if you continue having issues with your payment, you can also try:

• Changing your payment method at checkout. If you only have 1 payment method linked to PayPal, you’ll first need to add another payment method. You can add a debit or credit card, or add a bank account. 
• Confirming the recipient’s information. Make sure the recipient has finished registering for PayPal and you have their correct email address or phone number.
• Contact your card company or bank for more information. To protect your privacy, your card issuer or bank doesn't tell PayPal why your card was declined. If you’re still unable to make a payment, contact them directly for details.

This did not help and I'm having the same problem. I've already tried the suggestions from your copy paste response after first visiting the help center. Google has confirmed there's nothing wrong with my account and paypal is declining purchases for some reason despite having adequate funds in my account.

Same here. I can't use PayPal or make it the default payment on Google. I never had any issues except now with Google

I had to delete my PayPal payment method from Google, add my PayPal debit card and was able to use that. Afterward I readded my regular encrypted PayPal method and it seemed to work. Unfortunately I'm now dealing with Google suspending my payment account for "suspicious activity" lol.
