Google Pay issue, wrong Bank account charged via PayPal

Hello, I have two Bank accounts linked to my PayPal, let's call them account A und B. Recently I linked PayPal to Google Wallet and set up bank account A as the payment account. I have been actively using Google Wallet during our visit to Japan if that matters for anything. Just now I've discovered that seemingly at random bank accounts A and B got charged instead of just A. How is that possible as there is no authorization for PayPal to use account B for transactions via Google Pay?

Hello @Sardaukar

Welcome! Thank you for visiting PayPal's Community Forum. I'm sorry to hear there's been some confusion with your recent transaction via Google Pay. Normally, PayPal will only debit the funding source you've setup as a back-up funding source unless there's some kind of denial from that specific card or bank. I'd recommend reaching out to our Customer Support teams to dive a bit deeper into the payments to see if a card or bank was denied or wasn't available for that specific purchase.

Apologies for any inconvenience this may present,

Thanks for the reply and adive. It would make sense that some payments went for the second account as backup. I will see what I can find out.
