How to use credit card "points" for PayPal payments?

I have gathered some points on my PayPal linked Visa card, which are eligible for PayPal payments, my question is how I can use those points?

Of course I tried the PayPal 3 easy steps to buy with points, but that doesn't work as there is no option for me to pay with points, I have always to buy with money (USD).

Any help would be much appreciated.

You can only use Pay With Rewards when the option is offered at checkout.

According to the Pay With Rewards section:
