I cant send money through Volksbank bank account linked to paypal

So I linked my Volksbank bank to paypal since I have a maestro card and cant use it for payments. But for some reason I am unable to send money to a friend or even use it as a sending method as it takes me to the "link a credit/debit card" screen whenever I try to send money to a friend. Also I cant even transfer money from my linked bank (Volksbank account) to my paypal balance.

Did you confirm the bank account with the 4 digit code after adding it?

Does the bank account name match your paypal account name?

If you 'only' have a bank account linked then any payments will go as echeques and take a while to clear which is why paypal prompt you to add a back up card to your account so that any payments are credited to the seller instantly and paypal take the wait for the echeque to clear.
