Hello, i currently have a negative balance on paypal, which i can resolve by clicking the button, but, a collection agency (NCRi), contacted me saying that they’ve been retained and to pay them to resolve the debt, however debt is $20 more than what’s on paypal which i’m assuming is just fees. my paypal account isn’t locked yet, so if i pay and resolve with paypal would i still need to pay the collectors?

Hello @FxrFearless

Welcome and thank you for your post in the PayPal Help Community!

I see you're looking the clear the negative balance in your PayPal account. If the negative balance is not resolved within 120 days, you account might be locked and you won't be able to access your account. PayPal doesn't charge any fees towards the negative balance in your account. Since you can access your account, you can clear the negative balance by clicking the "Resolve negative balance' link under balance in your PayPal account. Here's the article on how you can add money to your PayPal balance from your bank account. You can also contact the PayPal Support team for more information on clearing the negative balance.

Best wishes,

Bindu
