MRS-US Contact Information Needed

PayPal closed an account due to a negative balance. PayPal sent me an email stating the account had been sent to MRS-US. I have yet to be contacted by MRS-US. Googling MRS-US did not get me any results. I have contacted several branches of PayPal only to get the same phone number on file[Removed. Phone #s not permitted] That number is INCORRECT and belongs to MRS-BPO. I have contacted MRS-BPO and they are a completely different collections agency. Does anyone have a web address or phone number for MRS-US? Thank you in advance.

Hello @LostCause16

We appreciate your first post in the PayPal Community; welcome!

I apologize for the confusion caused when trying to reach MRS-US. From conducting a bit of research, MRS is a collections agency that goes by a couple of different names, including MRS-BPO. If you were provided a number by Customer Support that led you to call MRS-BPO, that is likely the correct number. When accounts are transferred to collections agencies, a note is made of the contact information, just in case the customer needs it in the future. Another place to double-check is on your credit report. If the transfer has been updated to your credit report, you should be able to find the agency's contact information there.

I hope this information helps!

Hi Meghan, Thank you for responding, however, MRS-US and MRS-BPO are two different companies. I have spoken with MRS-BPO multiple times. I can attest to that because I have another collection account with them currently, but they do not have anything for me in regard to PayPal. The phone number on file with PayPal for MRS-US is incorrect. It belongs to MRS-BPO. What I found interesting is that in speaking with several different departments at PayPal, not a single representative had even heard of MRS-BPO. It would be simpler if the blanket email everyone receives just contained contact information instead of simply "your account has been sent to MRS-US." Thank you for trying.
