Trying to buy crypto but PayPal won’t let me

Hi. I am trying to buy £10 of bitcoin, but whenever I click agree and buy on the app, it comes up saying “we’re sorry something seems to have gone wrong, we’re not able to complete this transaction at the moment, please try again later.” It’s been happening for days, but a year or so ago I could buy and sell bitcoin as normal. And when I tried to add money to my PayPal balance it’s saying it’ll take 10 days. I’m sure it used to be a lot quicker.

I went through something similar for a few days but I tried again today and it worked for me. So maybe just some site wide issues

Heli9....so I CAN purchase bitcoin from PayPal, correct?   I don't see where on their App.  How do I do it?   - johnk808

Attempting to transfer Crypto from paypal to another wallet. Managed to get my BTC off their servers, after weeks of multiple attempts. My ETH seems locked up. Every single time I get the generic, non-description ‘Oops, something went wrong. Usually you can fix this by trying again’… again… and again… and again… This feels pretty shady. Selling ‘crypto… but then not really supporting or assisting customers when they want to use or move it. Honestly, I will never buy via PP again. It feels like a bit of a scam.

Welcome to the PayPal Community Forum. I'm sorry to hear you've run into some issues transferring Crypto out of your PayPal account. I can understand how concerning that must be. Have you tried clearing your browser's cache, cookies, and history or completing the transfer through the app instead of the browser or vice-versa? While this isn't a payment decline, you may find some useful troubleshooting steps here as well.
