Unable to verify Monzo debit card with PayPal.

I'm unable to verify my Monzo debit card with PayPal. 

 

I request a verification code; next page says 'Your card was declined by the issuing bank. Please try a different card or contact your card issuer with questions.'

 

Everything is set up correctly; address is indentical on both accounts; plenty of money in there to cover the initial token payment & trigger the requisite PayPal verification code; there was even an app message from Monzo notifying me that PayPal have just performed an 'Active card check'.

 

What gives?

Hi @strawberrymi1k,

 

Welcome to the community forum and thank you for posting. I'm sorry to hear that your card is declined by the issuing bank. It sounds like you've already checked all of these items. I recommend communicating with your bank to determine why the decline may have been made. There may be some reason code in their system that will allow them to be descriptive about the decline.

 

I hope they are able to shed some light on things!

I solved the problem by simply deleting the card and re-registering it.
