When sending LTC PayPal keeps inserting a contact instead of using crypto address

I'm trying to send LTC to external wallet by either using the QR code and also by copying the address, however, PayPal keeps trying to send it to a "contact" (although it's not a contact of mine) instead of using the crypto address. How do I get it to not do that and to only use address?

Hello @wrigdon172

Congratulations on your first post in the PayPal Community!

I'm sorry to hear about the frustration you've encountered when trying to send LTC to an external wallet. If you're using the PayPal Mobile App, I recommend checking for updates, clearing the App's cache in your phone's App Settings, and uninstalling and reinstalling. If you're using a browser, please clear your browser's cache and cookies. If the error persists, you'll want to report it to Customer Support through one of these options

I hope this is resolved soon, and you can send the LTC!

did you get this resolved? I'm having the same issue. This wasn't happening a week ago. I tried clearing the data off the app like cache and etc and still the problem keeps happening.

I am having the same issue (on my browser).   It has nothing to do with browser cache, as I do not know this contact.

I am having this exact issue but I am dumb so I actually just sent it anyway. And now my transfer is stuck on pending for 3 days and says whoever the account name came up has to accept it.

This! I was sending crypto to an external wallet, PayPal stated it belonged to user "K B" so I sent it and now it is missing. No transaction hash, just a transaction ID that gives no information when searched. How can PayPal let this happen?
