And The Benefits of PayPal Are ????

I opened a Pay Pal account( a second time) to receive a payment because the buyer company said it was "faster." Excuse me...3-4 business days before the money posts to my account is a far cry from fast. This is just good old fashioned "interest gathering". Any company dealing with money accounts of any type where you use the service to buy or sell items with money you out into the acount does this.

A friend of mine in the banking business told me about this so people..it's no joke. If you only look at one person waiting a few days for a couple hundred dollars you're probably saying..."yea right...a lot of interest there!" The reality is the big picture. When you have virtually thousands of people funneling money in and out of banks through services like Pay Pal the interest earned over just a 24 hour period is more than most of you make in a year.

As I said...I had to open a second account because the genious of Pay Pal could not understand I did not remember my old password or which old email I had used before. I suddenly remembered why I stopped using PayPal. That's $10.00 I'll never see again and they really don't care so...as soon as this money I'm waiting for now posts to my pay pal account I'll transfer it to my bank account. This process will take better than a week to complete. What's the benefit of Pay Pal again? Pay Pal is for people with stupid money...not for the working class who need access to the money they have when they need it.

I am not sure how you are using PayPal, but that is not how it works for me.  My customers place their orders at our website, the order goes through the payment gateway, and the money shows up in our PayPal account right away.  Now, when we transfer money from the PayPal account to the bank account, that takes up to 2 days.  But, with more of our vendors accepting PayPal, it is just as easy to just send them money through PayPal than the transfer to money to the bank and them write them a check.

The other benefit I see is that some people just prefer to pay with PayPal.  We even have customers order on the phone and ask that we send PayPal invoices for them to pay.  I guess their PayPal money is "play" money to them..like money they spend outside of the normal household budget.

The only downside I have experienced is that when there is a dispute, they are quicker to side on the buyer's behalf than the credit card companies.

Paypal is very easy to add to an ecommerce web site. It is well-recognized worldwide and is very convenient for customers with checks but not credit cards. My business has had no problems with Paypal and I would highly recommend it to anyone serious about setting up a hassle-free website.

No, the original poster is absolutely correct. With this payment hold bull**bleep**, only businesses can benefit from it. Paypal is not for the average man. I personally verified this when I called support and the representative was surprised that I was not a business, but an average person trying to use money on the internet. We seriously need a better alternative. I'm tired of bowing down to these scam-artists.
