I POST MANY THINGS AND MOSTLY PAINTINGS AND ANTIQUES. I LISTED A SILVER TEASET AND I DIDNT POST THE DIMENSIONS BECAUSE I DIDNT HAVE THEM AT THE MOMENT BUT OFCOURSE IF SOMEONE ASKED I WOULD HAVE GONE TO THE CONSIGNORS HOME ASAP AND GOTTEN THEM OR ELSE WITHIN TWO OR THREE DAYS I WOULD OF DONE IT MYSELF. . ANYWAYS TO MY SUPRISE SOMEONE BOUGHT THE SET. THEY EMAILED ME THE NEXT DAY AND SAID THEY HAD A PARTY AND WOULD LOVE TO USE THE SET SO I GOT OUT OF WORK AND SHIPPED IT TO THEM. IT STATED ON MY LISTING I TAKE NO RETURNS UNLESS ITS A FAKE OR MIS REPRESENTED. I DID NEITHER. THEY NEVER ASKED ME ONE QUESTION ABOUT THE ITEM. THEY LIKED IT AND PAID. I PAID THE CONSIGNOR AND ALL PARTIES ARE HAPPY. BUT NO THEY RECIEVED THE ITEM AND SAID ITS BACK IN THE MAIL CAUSE ITS TO SMALL. I TOLD THEM I DONT TAKE RETURNS AND I DESCRIBED IT CORRECLTY. THEY TOLD ME I DIDNT SELL A TEASET BUT A DEMITASSE SET. SO I THEN SEND THEM 4 LINKS TO SOTHBEYS AND CHRISTIES WITH THE SAME TEAPOT AND THOSE LISTING CALLED THE SET A "TEA SET". SO IF THEY CALLED IT THAT HOW COULD I BE WRONG. SO THEY STARTED A DISPUTE WITH EBAY AND EBAY TOOK MY MONEY AND CREDITED IT TO THE BUYER. I SPOKE WITH EBAY TODAY AND THEY TOLD ME I MISLED THE BUYER. HOW DID I MISLEAD THE BUYER IF THE BUYER DIDNT ASK ME ONE QUESTION. THIS WAS AN ART DECO TEASET FOR 3000 DOLLARS AND FOR THAT KIND OF MONEY I WOULD HOPE THE BUYER WOULD ASK QUESTIONS. ALSO TEASETS THAT ARE ART DECO TEND NOT TO BE BIG. WHY IS IT MY FAULT THAT THE TEASET IS FOR 4 PEOPLE AND NOT 6 PEOPLE LIKE THE BUYER WANTED IF THEY DIDT ASK ONE QUESTION. IT GETS BETTER. TODAY I SEE THIER EMIAL ADRESS AND DO SOME RESEARCH ONLINE AND FIND OUT THEY ARE IMPORTERS OF STERLING SILVER JEWELERY. SO THIS TELLS ME THIS IS NO PUTZ. HE EITHER COULDNT RESELL IT OR IT DIDNT WEIGHT ENOUGH. EVEN IF THATS NOT THE CASE WHY AM I AT A LOSS? HOW CAN EBAY STEAL MY MONEY AND TELL ME I MISLED SOMEONE IF I DIDNT. THE BUYERS COMPLAINT WAS I MISREPRESENTED AND IF EBAY CANT PROVE THAT THEN HOW CAN EBYA JUSTIFY TAKING MY MONEY? ALSO I LOOK AT PAYPAL AS MY BANK ACCOUNT AND HOW COULD THEY GIVE MY MONEY UP TO EBAY WITHOUT EVEN ASKING ME WHATS GOING ON AND GETTING MY SIDE OF THE STORY. HOW CAN SUCH ROBBERY GO ON AND THE STATES LET IT HAPPEN? IF I COULD I WOUDL PICKIT THIER OFFICE AND IF SOMEONE IS AN ATTORNEY AND SEES A CASE IN THIS I WOULD GLADLY GO FORWARD. I WAS ROBBED PIONT BLANK. THIER IS NO DIFFERENCE TO WHAT HAPPENED TO ME ON EBAY THAT BEING MUGGED ON THE STREETS.

yes, thier is a difference and thats why i sent ebay links to the same set and similar sets from sothebys, christies, bonhams, and other websites that all reffered to the set as a "teaset" and not a tiny set or miniature set, or demitasse. if ebays investigators make decisions that can cause me to lose 3000 dollars i would only think it would be fair to show me how i called the set incorrectly. the customers opinion is not proof and at the end of the day i dont understand how ebay can do this. i would have had no problem if ebay showed me somewhere where this set was called demitasse, or a website that discusses the dimensions of tea sets proved it was demitasse, or had they consulted and silver/antique dealer that also stated it was demitasse. i would have glady paid but it was i who proved i was correct.
instead i was told the buyer felt wronged. i mean are you kidding me? the customers feelings is the decision factor. i almost was laughing on the phone when the ebay investegator told me that but it was more of a crying matter for me.
thiers always going to be sellers who are con artists or upto know good and that doesnt suprise me.
its the buyers behavior that has shocked me and im also a buyer and wouldnt think twice to do to sellers that ive been upset with than what buyers have done with me. whats the deal with people making low offers on things they dont even want just for fun? whats the deal with people who just read on a listing "dont bid if you dont like shipping costs" who have the nerve to still email and tell the seller that they are wrong in the shipping costs. has the seller forced this person to bid? why cant the buyer just walk on by with out adding thier 5 cents? how does a buyer not understand that when they do a buy it now and then dont pay they think thier has been no loss for the seller if the seller still has thier item. doesnt the buyer get that now everyone has seen what the seller was willing to sell for and anyone that might of bid higher wont? or when something is relisted buyers are concerned why the deal didnt go through, maybe a problem with the item? i could go on and on. biggest problem i have is that in the real world, not ebay world if i buy something i have the option to purchase insurance or not for a shipment. on ebay if something god for bid happens to the package the investigators immedialty ask the seller if insurance was purchased. why should the seller insure something that has already been paid for and is no longer the sellers property? why isnt it the buyer responsibilty to make sure ther item is insured or make sure theyve paid the seller to have the item insured. its cause the buyers are cheap and also dont take responsibility for themselves. i could go on and on and the scary thing to me is is that this behavior carries on to many other aspect in the buyers life and i see a very sad trend for the united states of america for its future. im as conservative as one could be and am no fan of unions but thier really should be a sellers union on ebay. how do we start one?
