If you are a seller on Ebay, your not protected by PayPal! Your not only unprotected, you have a good chance to lose both your money and your item you sold! I sold one item for $75.00 and have not received my money! The person is coming from another state to pick it up and needless to say, they will be really mad when they can't take that item with them. It's not leaving my possion until I'm paid, period.
If they break it when they get back home, they can cancel payment and in doing so, I'm sure they are not going to drive another 8+ hours to return it! Then also, why is PayPal holding payment that is under $100.00? I have to wait 21 day's!!!! Are they nuts or what? I have two more item being sold in two day's that will total about $400 - $500. This was to be used for Christmas shopping. Being PayPal will hold my money for 21 day's, there goes my money planned for Christmas!
I used PayPay way before Ebay bough it and never had any problems, so why is PayPal hoding my money? PayPal better takea look at what they are doing and start protecting the seller, not just the buyer. Houlding moey for 21 days isn't right. That's my money and they have no right in holding what is belongs to me. If I have a dispute with a buyer, thats between me and the buyer, not PayPal.
Your bank doesn't stick its nose in your teansactions of any kind, so why should PayPal be doing this? If PayPal wants to hold your money, seven days is more then enough time, not 21 days. Anyone that pays me now on Ebay that comes close to $100.00 will have to either pay me in some other way, or wait for 21 days before there item is shipped. I will not ship anything without receiving payment first.
If there is a problem, the buyer and I can work it out. But I won't refund money to someone that broke something then try to get their money back, and this is what can happen when using PayPal and they hold your money for 21 days!!!!!
