Shipping Label Refuses to Print????

Hi, I have tried Internet Explorer, Mozilla Firefox, Google Chrome, can print test pages and other documents, but no matter how many times I try to print the shipping label (which I can see, and choose 'print label'), it won't print. I even talked with PayPal tonight, and the guy told me it has to be my printer. I can print ANYTHING except the shipping label. This has never happened to me before - what could it be?

KonaRose,

If you have an HP all in one printer, try turning off "Smart Web Printing."  This particular program, while useful, can interfere with the printing of labels.

Hope this helps,

Adrian

Thank you so much - it wasn't easy to do that. I went to Microsoft and then 'help' to find the fix it. I hope it works, but am very reluctant to try. PayPal told me they weren't responsible for refunding the money for the voided labels. They told me to call USPS. USPS told me it was PayPal. I called my bank. They told me it was PayPal's responsibility to refund me. I called PayPal again. They now say it is their issue and will refund me within 2 weeks. What an enormous hassle that did not have to be. I say a little more training would go a long way to help clients avoid this extra frustration.

I appreciate your response and efforts to help!!!

I am having a similar problem. I can  no longer print international labels on Paypal. The box shows up black every time. I have to print those from Ebay. How crazy is this? Been fine for years and all of a sudden, nothing.  As for refunds from Paypal for labels not printing, they also told me it is up to USPS to refund me and USPS tells me it is Paypal. Be glad you finally got your money back from Paypal. I never did. I fought with them for 2 hours on the phone and finally told them to just keep the $2.96 because it was costing me about $15 an hour to argue with them. How ridiculous.  Perhaps one of these days they will invest all those extra dollars they are stealing into a training program for their employees. Right now I am fighting to get back $110 on a chargeback reversal that they are fighting me tooth and nail over. I don't know why they can't just give me my money back instead of doing all this arguing. COME ON PAYPAL, TAKE CARE OF ALL OF US WHO ARE PUTTING ALL OF YOUR MONEY INTO YOUR BANK ACCOUNT.

Hi,

I, too, was told by PayPal via phone that the refund for the non-printable labels had to come from the USPS. So I called the USPS who then had me open my bank acct on-line. There it was - PayPal was the merchant who took the money, not USPS. So when I re-phoned PayPal, this time the woman I spoke with immediately said that it was PayPal that would be reimbursing me for the money, not USPS.

Nothing like being told different stories by the same company, eh?

Will wait 2 weeks and see if I do get the refund....

**bleep**.

Had to go to a post office and do the label on a machine. (Disabled, too)

Hope it turns out better for you!

This has happened to me. My money went into my paypal account, which I was able to use for future shipments. It came from the post office. If you check your paypal account after you make a shipment, it doesn't go to paypal, it goes to the post office so that is who needs to refund it. I cancelled my labels on Nov 19 and received my refund on Dec 4.

Hi there:

Wow, talk about frustrating - I re-downloaded Java on THREE different computers to try to get the label to print (it was going to Canada from the U.S.) to no avail - still the black screen of death instead of the label.  I looked at doing it from eBay and they charged $3 more than the online postage price (forget that).  So I went directly through the USPS and was finally able to print out the Customs form with the postage on it.  Yes, I did have to enter the stuff manually instead of it being filled in for me but it DID finally print!!  I don't know what the **bleep** the issue is with Pitney Bowes but I am totally done with doing the label through PayPal.  Hope everyone gets it worked out too......... : )

I had to drag this disabled body out of bed to the post office 14 miles away (my husband drove me), get out the walker, stand in a long, long line, just for the auto self-do scale, to hand write the label, and print the postage at the post office. At least there was one nice person employee at the post office, helping all of us at the scale, get all our pkgs mailed. Dear Lord. What happened to PayPal's label printing system? I tried 3 different computers and 2 different printers (we replaced ours with a new one). Our printers print everything else, just not the PayPal ones. Must be some glitch that PayPal is ignoring for the time being. Oh well-back to USPS.
