Hi. I am rather new to this and need some advice. I recently sold a brand new drone on eBay. It was one day old and included the Best Buy receipt. I promptly mailed it out when it sold. I lost money on it but that was my choice. I could have just returned it but wanted the sake. So... Here we go. 1. The Mavic Air 2 was brand new. The day it arrived I received a message from the buyer. Apparently someone he did not know signed for it and took off with it. I was confused as it had the seller's signatories on the return receipt. After a full day he messaged me to say he found it. He said "all was perfect". No explanation was given. 2. A day later... the buyer claimed a lense was missing. Although I took pictures of the lense being included in the shipment... It was such a low cost item I told him I'd reimburse him if he did not find it (I told him where it was packed in the case). I never heard back from him. 3. Two weeks later he filed a claim against me for "item not as described". So I emailed him and said I would be happy to refund him if he would kindly return the drone to me. Again... no word back from him. My question is this. Is PayPal able to see our communication from eBay? Why would they allow a claim to be filed when it's pretty obvious an attempt at extortion? I will respond tomorrow but wanted to see if anyone has any advice for me. Also... I'm afraid of a bad review. I have a 100% positive feedback after about 300+ sales (138 reviews). Part of me thinks I should just let him have the drone and eat the loss for the sake of no bad review. 😞
