Seller listed item on facebook Fluke 289 tested working etc. When i received it, it was covered in some kind of oil and battery compartment terminals was rusted so it would be impossible to even power it ON to begin with, let alone "test it 100%" Case is easily opened so i opened it and cleaned up most of the oil and i found broken off component on the circuit board. I managed to power the device by touching the wires to the contacts because i cannot power it on using batteries and the display told me that there is a problem with the board. Obviously this is due to broken off component on the board. At that point i decided to file a claim and provided photos of the oil that had leaked everywhere inside. Few hrs later, having absolutely no idea what information seller has given to PayPal, the case was closed in his favor and the reason give was: "We understand you altered the device" How, by cleaning the oil so i can test it ? What am i supposed to do now ? I dont see any appeal option and i do not see any way to call paypay, everything is click here click here click here with never ending links that will get you stuck in a loop. Where is my protection i paid for ?
