I’m currently in a dispute through PayPal regarding a hotel booking made via Aurum Tours (through Check24). I paid for the booking, received confirmation from Aurum Torous, upon contacting the hotel, they said there is NO Confirmed reservation for the given details (booking no. etc). Despite my repeated follow-ups. I contacted both Aurum Tours and the hotel between 15.09.2024 and 16.09.2024, but neither provided the necessary confirmation. I ended up having to cancel my flights due to the uncertainty of the booking. (I did not want to travel to anotehr country standing at night with no place to stay). I have already submitted a dispute through PayPal under the "Item Not Received" category, as the service (hotel stay) was never delivered. Aurum Tours responded saying that PayPal is not the right platform for this issue, but I believe that this situation qualifies under PayPal's Buyer Protection for non-delivery of services. Has anyone faced a similar situation, and if so, what was the outcome? Is there any additional advice you’d recommend to strengthen my case? Also, how long did it take PayPal to resolve your case?
