I have almost stopped attempting to log in to pay pal. For years I found a way around the situation. I share a mobile phone with my daughter and rarely had to verify. Then around 4 months ago I started to get verification demands, and each time my daughter had to contact me by phone and tell me what the numbers were. Pay pal flagged up that they had detected a new device, but actually I had been using my daughter's mobile phone for a few years. I am 82 and disabled. My disabilities make mobile phone use impossible, but it does not affect my intelligence. I have been disabled for over 30 years. I was paying my carers every day through pay pal, so that they were paid as soon as they had given the service. About six weeks ago I had to verify each time I paid them, then pay pal started verifying twice in the same transaction. They had accepted my daughter's number, but she does not live with me, so it is not always convenient. Every day, when the carer left, I would have to contact my daughter to get ready to pay Francis. Then they wanted two verifications for the same transaction. Each time I gave the correct code, and each time they accepted it, but before I could click on 'pay now' they asked again. Two weeks ago my carer accepted payment at the end of the week, so now I pay on Fridays. It is getting more and more stupid. My daughter has to stay on the line ready to put in another set of numbers, even a third and it is beyond a joke. We do not even belong to the EU any more. Sadly I now have to pay through ebay, google, and any other method. I have had a pay pal account since 2006, right at the beginning of trade, through all the changes and so called improvements. I have lived at the same address since 1986, something like 36 years. It has never changed. I have had the same credit card since that time, and the same bank account number for longer than that. The frustration is too much. I still pay Francis because it is easier for them to bank the money. I CANNOT UNDERSTAND IT. I AM ALSO STILL WAITING FOR THEM TO PAY ME FOR RETURNED GOODS the company have not repaid.
