My Paypal account was charged 3 times for a total amount equaling about 20$ from a streaming service called Vudu, which is a company I use frequently. However these charges I didn’t recognize so I logged into my Vudu account to see what was bought, my last transaction was a week before these new charges occurred and for different amounts. So nothing was bought on this account, I checked PayPal again and there was no description on what was purchased only that Vudu charged x amount of money. I tried to dispute the charge as not authorized only to have PayPal contradict me in saying it was. How the heck do they figure charging me money for an item or service not asked for and not received with out my permission is authorized. I immediately removed all Payment methods and changed my password on my PayPal. Double checked my Vudu and still no charges showed up on my account for the dates or amounts being charged. I then disputed another one of the fraudulent charges with stating I didn’t get what I paid for which is also kinda true because I was charged for no reason and got nothing that claim was reimbursed... 5$ of the 20$ returned. Now 20$ isn’t much money but it was Ill taken from my account, and PayPal calling me a liar and not allowing me to get my money back when they authorized a sale on my account is just bad business. No customer service number available no way to request a claim be escalated after they decided they were going to help rip you off. No way to see what or why the money was taken or why they deemed it authorized. Not happy here, I have been a PayPal user for 6 years and always thought very highly of their payment protection and services, but I suppose that was only until I was robbed with PayPal holding the door for the thief.
