sell my business

I have a business account with paypal for many years, there is good balance of funds on this account, I want to sell my business but want to keep my funds and my paypal business card and still use paypal in a different business name is this possible , or is it possible to have a new account and transfer the balance?

If the PayPal account is included in the sale of the business then you’ll have to get a new PayPal business account and withdrawal the money in the PayPal balance prior to handing the account over to new owners if you are allowed to take the cash with you. Since PayPal doesn’t let business accounts receive friends and family payments, it’s best to withdraw the money to linked bank account and then manually cash out.

If the PayPal account is not included in the sale of the business, you’ll have to set a new primary email address and remove the email addresses associated with the business from the PayPal account to continue use of the account and card. Of course, you’ll also have to change business name, business address, phone number, etc.
