Dear forum members,

I potentially got scammed today for quite a big amount of money,

I truely do not know what to do and im very scared and panicking a lot.

I agreed to buying an account from a guy for around 265 usd, i paid his invoice that he sent as ''Virtual item'' he told me that after 48 hours i had to simply click confirm receipt and that i will get what i paid for. After 48 hours there was no button so he decided to start a dispute under the category of refund and to put only 1/265 dollars as the refund. We both typed in the dispute that we wanted the money to be released to the seller so that he can give me the item i paid for. After a few hours of doing this he blocked me on discord, i was quite suspisious of the whole thing but after that i knew i was scammed. I was smart enough to screen record the entire discord chat with him. Paypal wont let me upload the proof here but i uploaded it on the dispute as additional information. I'm wondering, im i **bleep** or will the dispute change into a full refund after they see my proof and not only 1 dollar?

Please help me out im scared and confused and this is all new to me.

Thanks a lot!

Hi,

Thanks for the respond but It does not matter anymore, i contacted every possible thing and they all said the same.

I won the case but only the 1 dollar so the scammer still has 264 dollars. Quite a weird way of ''protecting customers''.

But hey it is what it is.
