Avoid Using PayPal for Business Transactions

I just want to share an experience I recently had with PayPal. I faced a quality control issue with my supplier which led to many customer disputes. To address the situation I worked with my supplier and we decided they would refund me for any customer complaints so I could issue refunds to the affected customers.

My supplier then transferred a relatively large amount of money compared to my AOV to my PayPal business account to cover the refunds I had issued (500 USD). After receiving the funds PayPal flagged my account and requested a series of verification documents. Fair enough—I provided everything they asked for. Most of my documents were accepted except for my proof of address which they rejected for reasons no one could clearly explain.

Next they requested proof of fulfillment for the payment I received from my supplier. I explained that this was a business transaction unrelated to a sale and even provided a screenshot of my conversation with the supplier. Unfortunately PayPal didn’t accept my explanation, and my account remains restricted despite me submitting everything they requested.

I’ve tried calling emailing multiple support channels and doing everything else I could think of but no one seems able to help. It feels like the verification team operates in secrecy and there’s no way to contact them directly.

At this point it seems like my account is permanently limited even if i followed all the steps they asked me to called and emailed multiple times about this situation.

Use the phone option, if you get the bot just say ''speak to an agent'' a few times.
