I bought something from a french company, who then cancelled the items and said I'd get a refund. I have evidence of this but when I made a claim through PayPal they sided with the company, even if all that company gave them was made up tracking information saying the items were sent to Edinburgh. Inor only dit life in Edinburgh, I've never been there and certainly didn't them an address there to send anything. PayPal won't open up a new claim after closing that, said they contacted me for more information which they didn't, and said on the phone the information they needed to get my money back was proof I didn't get the items. How is that possible?! So now I've got a company that straight up stole money from me and a money back guarantee from an organisation who refuse to help me anymore, sided with the Weller and ignored the evidence I have, plus they did I need to go through my bank to get a refund. and this is the bad bit; the bank can't do anything as they say I agreed to a direct debit payment for this transaction, which I didn't. i kook it up and find out that all payments through PayPal are counted as a direct debit. I never agreed to that, didn't sign up for that and now I can't make a bank claim in anything I pay for with PayPal. Surely there is a legal issue here. I talked to fraud police and they said it's dodgy but nothing they can do, gave me number of financial ombudsman. I already tried Resolver but they can'take a claim as it's a french company who ripped me off.

Small claims court is your only recourse. PayPal stole from you. Get your revenge and your cash back. PayPal helps thieves steal. Make them pay.

Yes, the police did tell me I need to contact the ombudsman and start a consumer claim. I don't have a lawyer and cannot possibly afford to go the full distance with this, but PayPal have lied to me and then dropped my claim without just reason
