Payment online issues with retailers

Hi, is anyone else experiencing payment problems online? Each time I try to shop and pay online through PayPal when I reach the checkout and select PayPal I am directed to the PayPal site. I love in and sometimes get the verification request which I complete via text to my phone then Im directed to the PayPal checkout page which appears to be loading but doesn't. I've spoken to PayPal and they are clueless. My partner is having the same issue with different retailers and has completely separate PayPal and bank account and is using a completely different device etc. Is it just not working for me or everyone? TIA

I'm sorry to hear that you have experienced trouble with a recent transaction. Payments can often be blocked or declined if we detect any unusual or suspicious activity. PayPal may decline some payments to help protect you from any possible fraudulent activity. In this case, please try the payment again at a later time by clearing cache and cookies or try using different browser or device to see if that works.
