Issue with Updating Payment Method for Outstanding Transactions

Dear PayPal Support Team, I am writing to seek assistance with an issue I am currently facing regarding my PayPal account. Here is a detailed description of the problem: I have two pending transactions on my PayPal account. One is for an Apple purchase, which I pay for monthly, and the other is for a movie ticket, which was a one-time purchase. Initially, these transactions were set to be deducted from my only linked card at the time, which was connected to my Sparkasse Gelnhausen bank account. Unfortunately, there were insufficient funds in that account at the time of the transactions. Since then, the old card and the corresponding bank account have been closed. I have now opened a new bank account, which has sufficient funds to cover these transactions, and I have added this new account as a payment method on PayPal. I have also set this new account as my preferred payment option. However, I am unable to remove the old bank account from my PayPal account because the payment for the previous transactions has not been completed yet. Consequently, PayPal continues to attempt to withdraw funds from the old, now-closed account, leading to failed transactions and resulting in additional penalties. My PayPal balance is currently showing a negative amount of 35 Euros due to these repeated failed attempts and penalties. Despite updating my preferred payment method and attempting to change the payment method for each transaction to the new account, the issue persists. I am unsure of what further steps to take to resolve this situation. Could you please provide a step-by-step guide on how I can: 1. Ensure that the two pending transactions are processed using my new bank account? 2. Clear the negative balance of 35 Euros on my PayPal account using the new bank account? I appreciate your prompt assistance with this matter, as I wish to resolve these issues and avoid further penalties. Thank you for your help. Best regards, [Your Name] P.S. Could you please write out step-by-step instructions on what I need to do to resolve this problem? I may have missed a step earlier, which is why I have been unable to fix the issue. Thank you very much.
