Why even set a ‘preferred payment method’ when PayPal uses whichever one they want?I’ve spent 4 hours today trying to get someone to explain how they can use a lame t method I haven’t authorized. All I ever got was that ‘last year when u made a one time purchase on this particular website ‘THEY’ ( a lie) created a subscription using that payment method so every time u but from them using PayPal it’s gonna go back to that original payment method used for the ‘subscription’ ( never I don’t have, no reoccurring, no split payment, no trial or monthly subscription as we know it) even though that’s not ur selected preferred payment method. U have to go in and cancel that under payments-auto payments then when I make a purchase it SHOULD use ur preferred (authorized) payment method if it doesn’t go through ( which I understand, not a dummy) then it will go to ur primary bank account on file ( which a rep via phone added for me last year and apparently selected ‘primary’ bank account at that time on an accout I only use to make a loan payment monthly) it the account that I set my account up with 10 years ago. That was also a lie because it will randomly pick a payment method based on their systems bs system of any mini mighty moe. And I do NOT get the option to verify the payment source before the transaction goes through because (get this) I have other ‘options’ listed. It’s not and option if it’s not authorized and certainly not if there’s no money in the blasted account!’ So basically PayPal told me that ‘merchants’ store my payment method without my consent and use it whenever I make another purchase using PayPal with them. Whether it’s my card on file or not (my daughters debit card is listed as an ‘option’ as well), 1 week, 6 months, 7 years, whatever. Not ‘PayPal’ saving my payment method under their ‘auto payment’ ‘subscription’ payments section when I make any purchase using PayPal online. 🤔🤔can anyone make this make sense?? PayPal is fraudulently authorizing payments using funding sources that I have NOT selected to use at the time of purchase, not alerting me that the card the ‘merchant’ had on file with my ‘subscription’ that PayPal insists I have from a year ago is expired so they get to play with my money however they feel like instead of using the payment method that I have authorized, selected, and reads in my PayPal wallet ‘we will use this payment method…’. I need answers, apologies, refunded overdraft fees and compensation for my time and stress and still out of pocket extra money without having any resolution. Anyone else???
