Hi PayPal Community,
I’m reaching out here for help and to raise awareness about an issue I’ve encountered with my new PayPal business account.Yesterday, I created a business account, and shortly after, I received a request from PayPal to upload a picture of my ID for verification. The system allowed me to take a photo directly from my camera, and I uploaded it without any error messages or warnings.
However, when I checked my account this morning, I was surprised to find that my account had been permanently limited and deactivated. Upon further investigation, I learned that my ID verification was rejected because my birth date was visible only on the reverse side of the ID, which wasn’t included in the picture I uploaded. I was not given any option to correct or resubmit this document – my account was simply deactivated, and I'm unable to open a dispute or take any further action.
This is my first time setting up a business account, and I feel this decision was both harsh and unfair given the circumstances. I understand the need for stringent verification processes, but I would have appreciated the opportunity to provide additional documentation or correct the initial submission.
Has anyone experienced a similar issue or knows how to get in touch with the right support channels to reconsider this decision? Any guidance or support would be much appreciated!
Thank you all for your time.
