Hi guys, so I recently sold a package and received the money and transferred the money to my bank. After I received the payments the buyer told me that he wants the package to be shipped on January 4th, instead of tomorrow- December 26th. What should I do? Should I ship it anyways and tell him to call USPS?

Wait until 4 Jan to ship.
Perhaps he won't be home before 4 Jan and you risk a lost package and money. If you still aren't sure, then ask the buyer.

How would it be a scam?
If you wait to send, it means you still have the package.
If you send early and packge is stolen because buyer isn't home you'll lose package and money.
Just make sure you confirm delayed shipping, inform buyer when shippped, and provide buyer with tracking number.

Yeah, it was a stupid question sorry- it's my first time selling anything via PayPal invoice. By confirm delayed shipping you mean to confirm with the buyer or with PayPal

You answered my next question which was "how was the sale/payment made".
You should make sure ALL of the details were part of the original invoice; that's the first document that buyer/seller would use for any claim. Since you apparently got an email request from the buyer for the delay, you should confirm delay by reply emai.
What type of shipping cost was included in the invoice. Regardless of whay buyer paid you should ship by a service which includes tracking to delivery point. If a high priced item, it shuld include receipt confirmation by BUYER signature, not just an adult signature.

I think you should confirm that you will ship on the 4th and that you will provide tracking information. I assume that this is all within the U. S.
Keep a record of your confirmation messages.
Verify that your invoice shows product details and not just a reference to something elese. Specific details about the item are so important in case there is a claim of not as described.

Any details would be those accepted BEFORE purchase. Adding details AFTER purchase is like changiing conditions of the sale and may not be very valuable in case of a dispute about the sale. The invoice has an option for adding pictures to the invoice; that is where all of details and conditions matter. All available options on the invoice should have been used.
If there is no dispute then all is OK.
