It would be extremely helpful for PayPal to publish a key to "Processor Decline" codes so we merchants could help a good customer resolve a problem with their credit card issuer (bank). A recent failed Virtuall Terminal transaction indicated that addressing, CVV and some other aspects were ageeeable, but there was some other error that was identified only by a code number.
Example: a solid customer's Visa card got rejected with little advisement as to what was the problem other than a "Processor Decline" code number of 15005 and mention of some other Code 0051. Not very helpful for customer to resolve the problem with their bank.
Q -- Is there a published list of error codes for Virtual Terminal credit card transactions that would help us advise customers how to resolve a credit card rejection issue?
