Help, I received a text from 729-725 saying "You've got money" but there is no money in my account

Hi Fellow PayPal-ers,

I got a text from the number 729-725 saying that I received money from a transfer from my friend who sold something on ebay for me. I was expecting this transfer, but I've looked in my account and there's no money in it.  I can't find record of any notifications or transfers at all.  Anyone have any experience with this?

Hey everyone!

It sounds like your payments may be unclaimed, which means the email or phone number the funds were sent to isn't confirmed on your account.

You can confirm your mobile number by following the steps here.

Once the email or phone is confirmed, the payment should come through within a few minutes. If this is not the case, there may be a problem with the payment, and I would advise reaching out to your buyers to see if there's anything unusual on their end.

I recieved the same from my father. We have sent money this way several times, but this time there wasnt a way for me to accept it.  Called in and spoke to a rude and arrogant woman in customer service who said they didn't have a text service. Called my dad, and he cancelled the birthday card, and I recieved another text stating the payment was cancelled.  One thing I did notice is it is using paypal/mobile and has a huge sales pitch after the payments are cancelled about signing up to not miss another one. Would be fantastic to have this before you miss the payment. The call center is horrid and these forums are worse. Anyone know if you can send to others using foursquare? Looking for something to replace paypal. I havent used ebay in years and this account is no longer needed.

Thanks Ashley!!! That WORKED! I followed your tip of confirming my mobile number and it resolved the issue. Actually i had never received funds through paypal text before and i even have correct ph. number in my profile but it was listed as my 'home' number so i deleted it and re-added it as my cell. Then i logged out, and logged back in and funds were there. thx!
