PayPal Account Number for refund.

I made a purchase with Olay using paypal. Part of the payment was payed from my paypal balance and the other part came out of my linked account. i returned the product. Now, however, they are saying on order to send the refund, they need my paypal account number. She has some number that is blocked out excpet for the last foour digits which include numbers and letters. I have no idea what this number is. But she tells me that that is the number they need in order to send the refund back to my paypal account. The only numbers I have are my bank account numbers that are linke to the account. Can anyone enlighten me to what "account number" she may be referring to?? Thanks

Could be the transaction ID number they're asking for.  Look up the transaction in your Activity page by date you originally made the purchase and click on the transaction to get the transaction ID number.

PayPal doesn't use account numbers, just email addresses to identify accounts.  I can't imagine it being the number/letters on the bottom of the PayPal payment notification email received for the purchase but you can give those.
